Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. honorably provides a variety of different funeral services to satisfy family needs. In October of 1959 G. Raymond Dengler, dedicated himself to the local community, and opened the business on North Mill Street, Birdsboro. In 1965 the former Mohr Funeral Home was purchased and the business moved to its present location. In June 2003 Gail R. Dengler took over the business. He and his wife Susanne work together at the business. Also working at the funeral home is Barry C. Fellman, licensed funeral director and Jeffrey P. Sowers, licensed funeral intern.

John Eugene Iezzi, 79, of Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA, passed away on January 12, 2016. He was born in Birdsboro, PA, to the late Pasquale Iezzi and the late Laura (Piacenti) Iezzi. John is survived by, wife, Mary Jane (Schmid) Iezzi, at home. He served for the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. John was employed as a laborer for 26 years at the former Firestone Tire & Rubber and then Occidental Petroleum, Pottstown, PA, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM RCC and the Birdsboro Sportsmen Club. Surviving along with his wife are two daughters; Dawn M. Iezzi, fiancée of Chris Walley of Shillington, PA, and Michelle A. wife of Charles Shaffer of Mohnton, PA; one granddaughter, Miranda E. Shaffer, and seven nieces, three nephews. John was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lavinia and a brother, Eli Iezzi. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Immaculate Conception B.V.M. RCC, 905 Chestnut St., Douglassville, Union Twp., Berks Co., PA 19518 at 10:00 A.M. A visitation will be held before the service at the church from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Interment will be held in Immaculate Conception B.V.M. RCC Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church at the above address and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital PO Box 1000 DEPT 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908.

Bonnie L. (Benner) Hartman, 60, of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, died on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at home. Born August 8, 1955 in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William Benner and the late Myrna (Lykens) Benner. She was the wife of Dean R. Hartman. Along with her husband she is survived by her twin brother, William D. Benner of Birdsboro, PA. Service will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508.
