For decades, Tony Smith Photography has documented Billings Studio Theatre's production history through photographs. Back in the "old" days, after the show ended on photo night, we would rerun the show hitting the most picturesque high spots with Tony documenting them. Digital photography changed all that, and made it simpler, but for every production, like clockwork, there were Tony and Donna, providing BST with a gift of documenting our history. Although we are saddened that Tony, his Chair, and Camera will no longer be in the tech booth, we are elated that Tony and Donna will now be able to sit in the theatre together, and enjoy a production without having to work the event. Tony and Donna Smith, Billings Studio Theatre thanks you for your years of giving to our community and to BST. Because of you, a large portion of our 65 years of theatrical productions are more than just memories. The BST Board, the Staff, and every actor who has traipesed across our stage appreciate the gift you have given us. It is now time for a few more vacations and a lot more fishing for you. New places to go, things to see, and pictures to take because you want to, and not because you have to. If anyone would like a portrait by the master himself, you only have a few days left, (until the end of March I believe), and the last appointments are filling up fast. Once again, Thank You Tony and Donna. What a pair. You will always be welcome guests at BST.

One of the joys of directing a show is watching the auditions. I watch each person who auditions, pulling for them as they lay everything on the line. I feel for those who's knees quake, and voices quiver. I have been there. Inside, I rejoice for those that hit it out of the park. I love seeing the talent we have in this community on display. On the other hand, one of the things that I like least about directing a show, is making the casting decisions. Who works best in which combination, what schedule conficts can I / we work around, who will only accept what roles. Ultimately it is my decision in the end, but in the process of arriving there, I must also consider the choices of my production staff. We discuss the show, we look at the big puzzle, and in the end, decide what pieces best fit where. So with all that being said, below is the Cast List for Evita. Thank you to all who auditioned. Sean and I will be working out the rehearsal schedules, trying to accomodate the conflicts listed for those that were cast. We will open up a Facebook Production Group for the show. Most communication to the cast will be via that group. If you are not on Facebook, we will text you info as we work through rehearsals.
