BERWICK BOROUGH BRUSH PICK UP The Borough of Berwick will pick up brush at curbside on the below dates: • 1st WARD Monday MAY 1, 2017 • 2nd WARD Tuesday MAY 2, 2017 • 3rd WARD Wednesday MAY 3, 2017 • 4th WARD Thursday MAY 4, 2017 Limbs cannot be larger than 8" in diameter. The Borough will only pick up brush on these days. Brush must be at curbside no later than 7am on the day of pick-up. Only brush will be picked up. Failure to follow the above provisions shall result in no collection at your home. Residents may also drop off brush and leaves at the Test Track Recycling/Compost site on Tuesdays from 1pm - 7pm. SATURDAY Recycling/Compost site open dates (8am – noon): May 6th, June 3rd, August 5th, September 2nd, October 7th, and last Saturday date is November 4th.

The second unit IP/PL steam turbine is parked at the PennDOT facility on Route 11 at I-80. It will likely travel through Berwick to the Salem Township fire house tonight or tomorrow night and then up Mingle Inn Road to the site Thursday Night.
Recycling for 3rd ward will be next Wednesday, March 22nd and 4th Ward will be pushed back to Wednesday, March 29th.
Any Berwick resident that has a four-wheel drive and can volunteer please call the Emergency Management Center tomorrow after 7am at 570-752-2723.
Berwick residents please stay off the roads during the snowstorm to allow our DPW to plow the roads. Park your vehicles off the roads if possible.
Our Emergency Management Center will be opening tomorrow morning at 6am. If you are essential personnel and need of transportation to work call 570-752-6020, 570-752-0782 or the County non-emergency number at 570-784-6300. This is for ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL ONLY.
Our volunteer firemen do their best to dig out the fire hydrants. But if you live near a hydrant please help by digging it out if you are able.
