Today, we started our Stewardship sermon series called “Tree of Life.” We gave out these Scripture Cards to use at home during the 6 weeks of the series. Each week there is a scripture of the week, and a spiritual practice that you should use with the corresponding scripture. For 5 minutes a day, use that practice around the scripture. Pray on it, fast from social media or tv, study, or journal. Just be present with God as you read and pray. You can use the back of your card to write notes if you would like. See how God speaks when you use the same scripture every day. Listen to God’s voice in your life. Also, these are intended to be conversation starters with your family. Ask your children to read them too, and then ask how the scripture makes them feel or what it tells them about God. If you weren’t able to get yours today, we will have more next Sunday! Be sure to join us then as we continue learning about being the best disciple we can be!
