John Spurling is a passionate communicator, educator, and writer who loves to inspire people to live God-honoring lives. He has 33 years of ministry experience and has been part of the pastoral staff at Gateway Church since 2005. Over the past 8 years, John has served as one of the Associate Senior Pastors at Gateway. He has also spent the past four years serving as President of The King’s University in its transition from Southern California to Southlake. John has earned three academic degrees including a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California. John and his wife, Penny, have two wonderful children.
