“We are not your normal gym. When you walk through the doors at PCF you join one of the hardest working families in the area. There are many great fitness facilities in the area and more and more people are turning to functional training to give them the added edge to reach their goals. I believe functional fitness will be around for a long time because the trainers and coaches of these types of facilities take a consultative approach to their member’s health.
Meet Our Trainers:
My name is Stephanie Gunn and I am 33 years old, born and raised in Belvidere all my life. I have three kids my son is 15,my daughter is 13 and my youngest son is 3. I am a single mom and work pt as a Merchandiser. I have my CNA,food license and CDL. I am also involved with teaching crafts at church for our Kick program and I teach my daughter Girl Scouts troop. I just recently got my Bootcamp trainer license and I am working on getting some more certificate under my belt. I started PCF back in March 2014 and in September I was asked to become a trainer. I was completely honor to be asked to become a trainer. I love teaching everyone in class what I have learned to succeed my weight lost of 151 lbs in a 2 year period of hard work that has definitely paid off. I currently teach the 5am class Monday-Friday and 430pm Tuesday and Thursday. Yes I have already been told my nickname to my classes is "Burpee Queen" as much as everyone hates burpees they definitely do pay off.
PCF Strong! That’s my motto! My name is Jackie “Jax” Vaupel, and I began a journey with PCF in August 2013 and have never looked back. I am a mom of two, a wife and full time medical tech and I know all too well the struggles with weight loss and being healthy. I have developed a passion for training over the course of this last year, and I enjoy helping and teaching people. Seeing the success in others and people reaching their goal gives me great pride in what I do and what I am a part of. PCF is a unique tight knit family that we are all a part of. I’m not only on this journey alone but with all of you! PCF Strong!!
My name is Steve (Beefy) Zahurones. I was born and raised in Belvidere. I am married to Dyan and have 2 kids, Jade who is 13 and Kayn who is 11. I've been at Chrysler for 20 years and that's when I started working out. After 15 years of going to different gyms, I hooked up with Matt at his old gym,Attrition and realized this is the kind of gym I want to be at. Then Matt moved to California, I put on a lot of weight after that. Then Matt called me out of the blue when I was boarding a plane for vacation and said he was opening a gym in Belvidere. I told him that I was in, I knew he could help me lose the weight I had put on,and he did. 65 lbs and 10% body fat. PCF is my home away from home, I enjoy teaching kick boxing and working with everybody. I will be at PCF as long as I can and put in 100%.

Here she is! Our 2nd place in the PDC#2017. Norma is the real deal when it comes to determination! When she says I'm going to do something, She let's NOTHING stop her! This is what we admire most about her and the fact that she Always supports PCF! She let's us Persuade her to do things outside her comfort zone and she loves the challenges, (there maybe lots of cursing and complaining LOL) But she does it all with that Beautiful Smile! Thank you Norma! We love you and are so so proud of You!
While all the 5amers are sleeping all snug in their beds, I am planning the workout for Wednesday 5am! I gotta say, I think this might be one of my all time favorites! See you in the morning💪💪💪
In case you don't know what Tom does in the front part of the building, here's one of the things that happens most, this time of year.
Wanna get involved with us? Even if your not participating, you can still be part of the fun. Please consider joining us for the race we are so pationate about. We need lots of volunteers to make this a success.
Today we want to give some extra special attention to one of PCF's many "Rockstars". As you all know we just finished up the pound down challenge and while there is only one winner that officially gets their name on the plaque, we had an incredibly close race and wanted to take a minute to tell Evelyn J Medina how incredibly proud we are of her! Evelyn is a 5amer that works incredibly hard both in and out of the gym. When we talk about no excuses, she writes the book!!! She walks into the gym every morning with a smile and a snarl to tackle the workout and many times doesn't get home until 10-11 each night. She is a true inspiration to us and wanted to let everyone know how incredibly proud we are of her. Keep up the great work Evelyn!
Time to Show Some Love to OUR Pound Down Winner. This is lady is so very special to us, She has been so Supportive of Power Combat Fitness. We have all watched her Journey (like most of us) it has come with lots of Ups and Downs....but this time it was different. I'd like you to Give a Great Big Shout Out To the Lovely Beautiful INSPIRING Jamie Proctor!! She started her weight loss journey in March of this year. This time was different than the other times she attempted to lose weight and she was determined to succeed. She came back to PCF in August and had already lost about 70 pounds on her own. She was ready to add exercise back into her life and gain some muscles. She has lost about additional 40 pounds since being back at PCF Belvidere. Then another 27lbs during our PDC2017. Jamie, we are all so proud of you! Thank you for Being an inspiration to those around you and to All of us. Your determination is admirable and we are so glad you choose Us to be apart of your Journey. Now the one person that can take all this credit of making sure you got those work outs in was THEE one and only Becky Tobin! We are very lucky to have her apart of Our Team. Thank you Becky for holding Jamie accountable and pushing the limits a tad. LOL! CONGRATS Again Jamie! It's so deserving! #PCFSTRONG
