Bella Vista Police Department
Description
Law Enforcement agency for the City of Bella Vista, AR The Bella Vista Police Department was established as a municipal law enforcement agency after the incorporation of the City of Bella Vista in 2007. Prior to that, we operated as a satellite of the Benton County Sheriff's Office, protecting and serving the residents of Bella Vista Village.
This department employs ALETA certified officers, administrative personnel, and certified communications officers. The department provides protection for the citizens of the City of Bella Vista from the criminal elements of society. We also provide and participate in several outreach programs for our citizens such as Operation Good Morning, Project LifeSaver and Neighborhood Watch.
The City reserves the right to restrict or remove any content that is deemed in violation of the city's social media policy or any applicable law.

It's summer and it's hot and we have some great lakes here in Bella Vista, but we urge you to be cautious when you are enjoying any body of water. This morning, we responded to the report of a drowning off a dock behind a residence on Musselburgh Lane. The victim was deceased when emergency personnel arrived. The incident appears to be accidental, and no foul play is suspected. Sadly, this drowning accompanies two other drowning incidents in the area over the weekend. Please stay safe while spending time outdoors this summer!
Heads up: Construction starts Monday, July 10 (tomorrow) on a dedicated left turn lane at US 71 northbound and Mercy Way.
