The City of Bella Vista is a municipal government in the northwest corner of Arkansas, nestled in the Ozark Mountains. Welcome to the official City of Bella Vista Facebook page. We are a municipal government providing services to more than 26,000 residents. This is a unique city, incorporated in 2007 after a vote of its residents. The city spans 47 square miles across the northwest corner of Arkansas, and contains more than 550 miles of roads.
Bella Vista borders Missouri to the north, and is the northern-most of six large cities located along the Interstate 49 corridor, offering a variety of shopping, educational facilities, health care choices, and abundant recreational opportunities. With its location in the Ozark Mountains, the city boasts a primarily temperate climate, and offers four distinct seasons, an array of wildlife and beautiful scenery. All these qualities and more make Bella Vista truly a place to call home.

ICYMI: construction starts Monday, July 10.
Construction will begin MONDAY, JULY 10 on a dedicated left turn lane at the intersection of U.S. 71 northbound and Mercy Way in Bella Vista. The City of Bella Vista has contracted with APAC Central, Inc. for the project. Per the contract, workers will have 60 days to complete the project, and construction is expected to be finished September 8. During construction, motorists should anticipate periodic lane closures and travel time delays. More specific information on lane closures will be disseminated as the project progresses. Updates will be posted on the city’s webpage — www.bellavistaar.gov — and the city’s Facebook page — City of Bella Vista, Arkansas. For questions, contact City Hall at 479-876-1255. RESURFACING UPDATE: The following streets are scheduled to be resurfaced, in this order, starting Monday or Tuesday, July 10 or 11 (depending on the weather): • S. Taylor Drive • Robert Drive • Slifer Drive • Commonwealth (at the intersection with Trafalgar only) • Bexhill Circle • Spennymoor Drive • Esk Lane • Oak Circle
The regular Planning Commission meeting July 10 & the Board of Construction appeals meeting July 11 are both canceled for lack of business.
