facebook.comAMATEUR RADIO OPERATORS CONDUCT 24 HOUR EXERCISE "Amateur Radio Field Day" is an annual test of amateur radio’s ability to operate under emergency conditions for a 24 hour period. The American Radio Relay League sponsors a Summer Field Day which takes place annually on the 3rd weekend in June. Calhoun County Emergency Management representatives participate in this annual test each year. This past weekend, these dedicated volunteers joined together and had a Winter Field Day test, acknowledging that their support, could be needed any time of the year. Amateur Radio continues to be an important player during any local, state, or national emergency.
DUNHAM HAS 10 YEARS OF SERVICE On January 18th, Emergency Management Director Durk Dunham completed 10 years of service with the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office. Please join Sheriff Saxton in congratulating Director Dunham on this accomplishment.
