Thursday evening, Barre Lodge hosted two service organizations and presented them with monetary donations utilizing an ENF Gratitude Grant. Twin Valley Senior Center was represented by Rita Copeland, Cort Richardson, Betty Brown and Ron Walesch. Random Rescue was represented by Sam and Gregg Punchar and Darby.

Awesome day... Williamston Elementary outdoor classroom project
Reservation not required! Come down for the morning or an hour. We need YOUR help!! Today Williamstown Elementary School educators, staff, and PTO will be working on their outdoor classroom. We need members and friends of Barre Lodge to help! This project was created with funds from an Elks National Foundation Promise Grant. From 8 a.m. – noon, we’re hoping to get the following complete: Removing dead trees – need chainsaws & lopers Installing raised garden beds – need shovels, wheelbarrows, rakes Installing a stage – need long levels, shovels and rakes Installing a storage shed - need long levels, shovels and rakes Preparing area for seating - need long levels, shovels and rakes Planting grass Clearing brush – need lopers, gloves, tarps Assembling a pergola If you can spare an hour or two, we’d really appreciate it. The more people we having helping, the faster we’ll get done! To celebrate, WES is providing a BBQ immediately following. This is your community!

Tonight at our Thursday night dinner, we presented two checks to local groups with funds we received from the ENF Gratitude Grant. $500 was presented to Tylor Bigras benefiting Tires for Troops and $450 was presented to Malakai and Journey for the Barre City Unified Sports team at BCEMS.
