Josh's Angels Foundation
Description
A Non Profit Organization fighting Pediatric Cancer Josh's Story begins in October of 2008, Josh was diagnosed with Grade IV Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) Brain Tumor which spread to the spinal fluid. Josh underwent Chemotherapy & Radiation to battle the tumor. On August 16, 2010 an MRI revealed a recurrence and Josh began his second round of Chemotherapy & Radiation. On September 2nd Josh was admitted to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) after suffering a mini-stroke causing left side weakness; he was then transferred to the Children's Seashore House to assist in his extensive physical therapy; Josh was release to go home on October 11th.
On December 9, 2010, Josh had another MRI, this MRI revealed that the tumors had progressed throughout the brain and were not responding to treatment; as a result, there was an option to use a trial drug. On December 19th, Josh was admitted to CHOP with a mysterious stomach aliment in which he did not rebound from. Josh returned home but was no longer eligible for the drug trial and was only being treated for pain management. Josh celebrated Christmas with his Mom, Dad, his Brother Brian and Sister Sakura.
Sadly, on January 11, 2011, Josh passed away peacefully in his parents' arms and another angel was born. Josh was a strong, fun-loving little boy who battled cancer but never let it keep him from living.
It is our mission to continue Josh's fight.
