The Kern and Bakersfield teams headed to the Capitol earlier this week to meet with our legislators to discuss the economic development and future for #KernCounty. Each community in the county plays a vital role in our success and we can't wait to see what the future has in store. We're so grateful to be able to partner with both public and private partners to make this all possible. Thank you Mayor Karen Goh , Tejon Ranch, the Greater Bakersfield Chamber, and Kern Economic Development Corporation for partnering with us on this exciting trip.

Earlier this morning, local high school students came to tell the Board about their SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco) program. This awesome team of local students work together to educate fellow students and the community on the dangers of tobacco and vaping. It's a great day in local government when local students get involved!
