This system will save us about $1,500-$2,000 per show in rental fees and setup/tear-down time, plus provide consistent, quality sound for our patrons. The Liberty Theatre and the Friday Musical Club are pleased to announce that effective immediately, the Liberty Theatre will act as fiscal sponsor for the Friday Musical Club’s music scholarship program! The Friday Musical Club is an organization that has been active in Clatsop County for over 100 years, initially formed for “the furtherance of musical development” and more recently, promoting musical education for youth and adults. Through its scholarship fund, Friday Musical Club provides scholarships for individual music lessons for local area youth each year, as well as funding string workshops for local youth and adults taught by acclaimed violinist Kevin Lefohn. The Liberty Theatre’s mission of education and outreach fits nicely with serving as the fiscal sponsor for a local club that provides much-needed funding for music lessons for young people. The Liberty is proud to be a part of this effort to enhance the musical life of our community 🎶🎶
