SOLD OUT Retreat into Mindfulness with Sarah Sol at the Chetco River Lodge May 4-7, 2017 “When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” - Rumi “Eventually all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.” - Norman Maclean The Yoga: The practices will be a hybrid of workshop and flow practices. Generally, Sarah will lead us in alignment work, diving into asanas and transitions in a meaningful way. Then we’ll apply those principles in a flow practice that will deepen the knowledge and tradition, while also dropping into our own moving meditation. There will be early morning silent meditation, which is optional. During the evening bonfire, there will also be optional silent meditation as well. Daily Rhythm: Arriving at the river lodge on Thursday late afternoon if possible, we’ll settle into our rooms and gather for dinner. Afterwards, we’ll do our welcome circle and intention setting. Friday and Saturday will include optional meditation in the morning, 2 yoga sessions, bonfire and meditation in the evening, and of course 3 meals a day. On Saturday, you’ll have the option with the group to take a beach bluff hike or hang out at the beach; one could also just stay at the river lodge and enjoy the natural setting, including walking/hiking around the property, taking a dip in the river, floating/inner-tubing/SUP-ing off the shallow river bank in front of the lodge, reading and general chillaxing, or taking a nap outdoors to the sounds of nature!! On Sunday, we’ll reconvene for morning yoga, have brunch and begin the journey to reintegrate back into life again, with a renewed sense of purpose and intention that comes from the beautiful journey of retreating.

Retreat into Mindfulness with Sarah Sol at the Chetco River Lodge May 4-7, 2017 “When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” - Rumi “Eventually all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.” - Norman Maclean Amidst the beautiful backdrop of the Chetco River literally right outside our door, we will enjoy yoga & meditation twice a day, gourmet meals, and quality down time that will take you deeper into the practice. With the adept and graceful hand of Sarah Sol, we’ll be led in a very well designed weekend of yoga that will imprint upon the spirit the necessity and power of both practicing and retreating. What to expect: Picture… The rustic and quiet setting of the Chetco River and the forest that surrounds; the smell of the ocean nearby and the simplicity of nature; the quaint and timeless feel of the river lodge; new and perhaps, soon to be old, friends sharing in the fluidity of time spent together. This shall be our sanctuary for 3 nights, 4 days in movement, contemplation and breath. What arises is the quiet, perfect eye of the storm to where we will retreat, from our day to day pushes and pulls, with the only expectation placed upon us being: to be present to it all. We will inhabit the entire lodge as part of our retreat. The rooms are double occupancy, with private bathrooms in each room. The lodge and the natural beauty of the outdoors offers a great opportunity to connect to the earth and the elements. If you’ve never been on a yoga retreat before, you are in for a beautiful awakening to the special power of retreating, especially with a yoga focus. Rasa Retreats are very inclusive and welcoming of all levels of yoga practitioners. Our objective for the weekend is to ensure a supportive and nurturing container for the participant. And should there be any dietary requirements (vegan/gluten free/allergies), we will take care of you!
