The DMSE Sports Classic, a festival of running on July 22nd and 23rd at Merrimack College, offers runners a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Celebrity Mile and Kid's Races. THE 2017 DMSE SPORTS CLASSIC • JULY 22-23, 2017

The DMSE Sports Classic (formerly known as the Runner's World Classic) will be back July 22nd to 23rd at Merrimack College for a weekend of running.
Founded by and managed by Dave McGillivray Sports Enterprises, there’s a race for runners of all levels and for the entire family. The races feature a start and finish on the beautiful campus of Merrimack College.
RACE DATES & TIMES
• 5K race – 7:00 am Saturday, July 22, 2017
• 10K race – 8:30 am Saturday, July 22, 2017
• Kid’s Fun Runs – 11:00 am Saturday, July 22, 2017
• Celebrity Mile – 12:00 noon Saturday, July 22, 2017
• Half Marathon – 7:00 am Sunday, July 23, 2017
SEPARATE, UNIQUE COURSES SHOWCASE NEW ENGLAND AREA & CHALLENGE RUNNERS
With separate courses for the kid’s fun run, a 5K, 10K, and half marathon, each showcases a traditional New England road race in “The Town for All Seasons” — the beautiful town of North Andover in Essex County.
Our undulating courses will keep you honest through historic downtown Andover, past the famous grounds of Andover Phillips Academy, and through a tree-lined, shaded residential community, which sits on the banks of the Merrimack River, near Lake Cochichewick and the Shawsheen River, approximately 24 miles from Boston.

• Celebrity Mile (Saturday)
• Half marathon (Sunday)
Celebrity Mile on Saturday at 12 noon with over 20 local sports, media and political celebrities and personalities

• The Hat Trick – 5K, 10K, and half marathon
• The Five & Dime – 5K and 10K
Earn up to (5) five stunning medals! Disney has the Goofy and Dopey Challenges, we have the Five & Dime and the Hat Trick!
POST-RACE ACTIVITIES
Once again, a great selection of free food and beverage sampling will be provided by our sponsors all weekend. And be sure to hang after the half marathon on Sunday to enjoy an ice cold beer and some live music in our beer garden.
Headquarters for the weekend will be on the grounds of Merrimack College in North Andover / Andover, Massachusetts.

Dan Clark (The Singing Trooper) performed America the Beautiful & the National Anthem; World Marathon Challenge Champion Becca Pizzi stopped by for some inspiration; and amputee-rights advocate and Boston Marathon bombing survivor Adrianne Haslet will be walking the 132 miles from Boston, Massachusetts to Cape Elizabeth, Maine with the EverWalk crew!

Coach Bill Squires is a legend in the industry, coaching the Greater Boston Track Club during the era of Bill Rogers, Alberto Salazar, Dick Beardsley, and Greg Meyer.
