Congratulations to Jake Miller, our $1,000 Winner at Ames FXB for the Fall 2017 Session! Your hard work and dedication to all aspects of the program, even with the challenge of injury, is a testimonial that results are typical at Farrell's and hard work... PAYS OFF!! You had AMAZING results!! The following is Angie's speech about our winner at the 10-week celebration which we wanted to share with everyone: "There are three pillars around the gym that read Commitment, Dedication and Motivation. This $1,000 winner reflects each one of these. COMMITMENT: The state or quality of being dedicated to a cause or activity. It takes Commitment to put the money down to enroll in the 10 week challenge and then commit to your fitness by showing up each day. This person was committed and it shows in their daily actions on the mat. DEDICATION: The quality of being dedicated or committed to a task or purpose. This person was dedicated to a healthier life and well being. This dedication inspired them to be successful with this 10 week challenge, and to not quit or give up. MOTIVATION: The general desire or willingness of someone to do something. The reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way. This person has a WHY, just like we all do. We must keep the WHY’s in front of us to remind us on those days when we don’t want to walk through the doors at the gym. What is it that motivates us to get on the mats? To hit the bags a little harder? To give 10% more. Everyone has a WHY, including our $1,000 winner. I’m incredibly grateful to have watched this person leave it all on the mats, AND this person added new meaning to giving 10% more by watching the extra workouts after class, AND by running the mile and still achieving a faster run time with a leg injury. Without further ado, here are the stats of our $1,000 winner: Pushups – 16 more Situps – 12 more Overall Inches Lost – 17.25” Body Fat Lost – 7% Weight Lost – 30.4 pounds JAKE MILLER!!!"
