He's planning to attend Plymouth State College in the fall and play football and or lacrosse there. He joined Work/Play CrossFit hoping to gain some strength! Boom, He's added almost 10lbs of muscle! Nice work Jarrod! This past Friday Night he was the only one in the 7pm class and that hasn't been uncommon. [ 465 more words ] http://workplaycrossfit.com/2018/02/25/all-about-friday-nights/

Let's Go Pats! Short Blogpost tonight as everyone's attention is averted to the Big Game! Make sure you have multiple "buckets" or facets of your identity in place to help you create balance and insulate you against loss/pain/risk etc. A Super Bowl example is this: When I was in my teens and my 20's being a Sports Fan was a HUGE part of my identity. You Must take responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons or the winds, but you can change yourself! ~Jim Rohn My favorite season of the year is Summertime! Hands down, this is my peak happiness time. I love the sun, the heat, the beach, being outdoors, the long days, I could go on and on. But that's not why I'm writing tonight... Congrats to everyone who went out and represented Work/Play this Saturday! All week the talk has been of unrest in Patriot Land. Then Brady's finger. All the coordinators are leaving. Gronk out with a concussion before halftime. Oh and as we've seen so so many times before, the Patriots fell behind, are behind all game and enter the fourth quarter facing a 10 point deficit. This week I'm enjoying Sam Walton: Made in America, the biography of Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart. This dude was an absolute beast, and if he'd been into CrossFit, I have no doubt he'd have been damn good at it! Lately I've been reading so many books about mindfulness and Zen and personal development, and this book has such a different tone, but the same themes that you will find in all the Zen or Success literature are right there. This week I've been parsing through the New Tim Ferris Book, Tribe of Mentors. All Tim does is ask a bunch of high achievers a series of questions and the whole book is just their answers. It's pretty cool and it reminds me a lot of the advice in one of my favorite books ever, Stumbling on Happiness by Harvard Prof Dan Gilbert. Happy New Year! Here are three ideas from stuff I've read lately, and that I'm thinking about as we turn the Calendar to 2018. Read them all or read one and come back to the others later. Wanted to close out the year by sharing some quotes that I love and I hope you'll ponder a minute and then carry them onward with you into 2018! So below are 3 quotes that I think all go together nicely, and I'll riff on those a bit below.
