Well done to those who knew! This fetching look is known as the flehmen response. Horses and other mammals, particularly males, use it to analyse smells such as pheromones. Though perfumes and hand lotions on humans can initiate the response too!

Goose came in to see Hannah as he’s been struggling to walk. Prescribed some hydrotherapy and supportive therapy to get the weight back on him. Fingers crossed goose makes a full recovery!

Fun fact: Thirty-two individual muscles in each ear allow for a manner of directional hearing; a cat can move each ear independently of the other. Because of this mobility, a cat can move its body in one direction and point its ears in another direction - all the better for ignoring you!
