Worpfest is a vibrant music festival set in beautiful leafy grounds.  It provides an exciting opportunity for families to enjoy quality music, food and entertainment in a warm and friendly environment whilst raising money for local charities. Following the success last year of the various community events in Worplesdon for the Jubilee, and in particular, the Beacon lighting, where over 250 local people joined in a picnic, listened to music, sang and enjoyed each other's company, the idea grew that we wanted to capture this spirit of togetherness and Worpfest was born.

PLEASE READ.. Unfortunately this years Worpfest will not go ahead. Sadly we failed to reach agreement on timings and the set up of the event. With time now against us, we feel we have no choice but to cancel. Thanks once again to all those who volunteered to help.

Just to let you all know where we stand, we have had a good response to our appeal for help, and many thanks to those that volunteered, we could use a few more, not just as marshals, but to help set up Friday evening and Saturday morning, and clear up Saturday night and Sunday morning. We have a meeting on 26th June to decide whether we can meet our health and safety obligations and the demands of our insurers, after that we will know if we can go ahead. The more we can take to that meeting in the form of extra help, possible sponsorship and goodwill, the better the outcome will be. We have some great bands lined up already, and a few surprise treats in store. Lets make this happen!

PLEASE READ THIS! This years Worpfest is in serious doubt and to go ahead we need your help. In the last four years the Worpfest audience has grown from a few hundred to over a thousand, this is great for the charities we support and for the musicians who play, but it does cause some problems for us organisers. With bigger numbers so our duty of care to our patrons grows. To satisfy the demands of the church and to keep our insurances intact, we need to have a full health and safety plan and the people to implement it. We need volunteer marshals. Theres not much to it, put on a high vis vest, be briefed on fire and evacuation procedures, report anything untoward to one of the organisers. Thats it ! We are hoping to get enough volunteers to be able to have four marshals working two hour shifts through the day. If you can help please message us here with your contact details. Thanks

Its Worpfest 2016 planning time! Year 5 and what have we learned? There is a huge amount of musical talent locally. Thom Harland and the White Lyon staff are awesome. If you want it to sound good, ask Adam Knight to run the desk. Knowing when you bought your beer you gave to charity is a nice feeling. And from your feedback: £5.00 is too much for a hotdog. More variety of music. We like Ice cream vans We don't like queueing for drinks and food. We heard you! This year we have : New bands New music More bars Ice cream van (probably pink) £4.99 hot dogs (maybe not) All change at Worpfest 2016. Same great venue, same great atmosphere, still free entry, still all for charity. Same Same but different! 3rd September 12.30 -10.30 pm See you there
