Cooker install tonight in Seghill. Another happy customer!

This morning we have installed a stop cock in a property in Seghill. We had to wait for northumbrian water to come and isolate the external stop cock as it was seized solid. Another job well done and another happy customer!

Capping off redundant gas pipes in Seghill this afternoon to allow for a new kitchen to be installed. Another happy customer!

Late Sunday night repair for a good customer of ours. Doing some DIY in his bathroom unfortunately struck a nail straight through his central heating pipe! We cut out the damaged section and repaired it with a compression straight fitting. Another good job!

Final job of the day. First year annual service and cp12 on Queen Alexandra Road North Shields.

This morning's task in Seaton Delaval. We have replaced a full hydro-block assembly on a Potterton Apollo. This had already been done once previously by Baxi under warranty. Even large companies such as BAXI do make mistakes, the plastic this component is made from in this particular model warps with heat over time, and causes a leak that can't be repaired without replacing the hydro-block. Luckily we have a good relationship with them, and as a good will gesture, they have sent us this new complete hydro-block free of charge to help keep our valued customers happy.

Yesterday's task. We received a call from a gentleman who had stripped down his own boiler, and then forgot how to re-assemble it. (Obviously we don't agree with this) It certainly makes our job more challenging when we didn't remove the components ourselves and were then asked to put it back together. We were of course a little rusty on assembling 25 year old Vailant 282E Turbomax Combi's. However, we got through it and our customer now has a leak free fully functioning Combi boiler. We advise you to always use a competent and qualified engineer to work on your boiler, even if you are handy yourself and experienced in another field of engineering, a seemingly "simple repair" can become very complicated quickly as this gentleman quickly found out. Happy New customer!!

Today we have been working for a regular customer of ours in Whitley Bay. We replaced both of his towel radiators chrome valves with thermostatic chrome valves, and also modified pipe work and fitted thermostatic valves to two radiators in rooms with bay windows. A job well done and a very happy customer!
