Rings

Here is my selection of individually, handmade rings. Some rings are made from copper wire inspired by Celtic, Viking and Pictish jewellery found in archaeological digs. Other rings are those I have upcycled from old silver or EPNS spoons. I also work on commissions from special spoons people send me, they are often Christening spoons that have been lying hidden away in a draw. IFf you have one that you would like to be made into a ring just contact me and I will do my best to help you.

Upcycled Spoons

All items are individual, I make myself. Because of the nature of wood, how it is cut or sawn no two are or will be the same and I can't always find the same patterns, size or shape of spoons. I use old unwanted serving, dessert, split sugar tongues or even knives and forks, whatever I can find that looks interesting or unsual. Some I make into hooks others could be used as a tealight holder but it's up to you. The bases are recycled wood I have used around the home or that I have found as drift wood or in the woods near our home. Sometimes I will sand and wax; I use natural Bees wax which smells really nice to enhance the features of the wood. Or I will leave au naturale! Take a look at what Stu can do with a spoon!!! Many of the spoons are EPNS but I have also use chrome, stainless steel and brass, if they are silver I will tell you upfront.

Rustic Jars

All items are individually made mainly recycled Larchwood from the local forest and from recycled materials. Wood supports are made from left over wood from a fence and chicken run we erected, some are painted (Shabby chic style)in white, pale green or pale lemmon or are pieces of drift wood I find on the beach or in the woods near our home. Emebellishments are items I have collected to use as resources over many years as a primary teacher. Hangers are jute, string or waxed yarn. You can use the jars for what ever you want or just hang them as they are.
