GOOOOD AFTERNOON VAPERS !!!!! Today I wanted to talk about something really important. Battery Safety. I know it's not the most exciting topic in the world though it is very very important. So share this post around guys, let's keep vaping safe and let everyone know what to do with those damaged batteries. Comment below with some of the craziest batteries you've seen used. What you want a battery to look like is smooth, clean and scratch free. Vape batteries are made for vapes and while other batteries may look the same they are not. For example, pulling your laptop battery apart and removing the batteries from there to use on your vape is NOT safe. Check out the pictures below for the examples of what a damaged battery looks like and each step through re wrapping. The first picture shows the side of a battery, any nics or scratches will expose the metal, meaning that there is potential for the battery to short. The second picture shows the bottom (or negative side of the battery) while the whole battery apart from the small pin at the top of picture 3 is negative you still want to make sure that these are in good condition! In picture 4 I have removed the battery wrap all together. As you can see there is a white ring underneath this. This makes sure that the positive end of the batter (the small side) does not make contact with any other part. This small ring is an incredibly important part of the battery!!!!! Now to make the battery safe again. Taking the naked battery and placing it in your 18650 sleeve (or correct sleeve for whichever battery you are using). After this you want to take your ring and place it on the positive end of the battery. Lastly you want to make sure that your wrap lines up with your ring, you can do this by bending it over like in picture 8. Once you have lined everything up correctly holding the white ring in place, you want to apply a small amount of heat to the bottom (a hairdryer works best for this). You will then notice the ends wrap around the bottom of the battery (as seen in the last picture). One this has happened press the bottom of the battery against a smooth hard surface. Then working your way up with the hairdryer you will notice it shrinking around the battery. Once you reach the top make sure that you hold the white ring in place as this can get blown away. Once the wrap has shrunk around the outside press it against a smooth surface like you did at the bottom to give it a good smooth finish. (like in picture 10) Remember guys while not the most exciting topic it is really important. It also makes sure that our devices stay safe and we can all continue to keep fresh and #staycloudy
