St Mary's Hospice is the dedicated provider in South Cumbria of specialised palliative care for people with life limiting conditions. Tel 01229 580305
St Mary’s Hospice provides free comfort and care for people with life –shortening conditions and support for their families, either at the Hospice or at home. We support people from the moment of diagnosis and their families for longer.
Though all our care and services are free of charge to our community, they are not free to provide and that’s where we rely on your help. It costs over £2.8m per year to run St Mary’s Hospice and our services. Less than 22% of our funding is provided by the NHS, meaning that we rely on donations and fundraising to cover the rest. This is only possible through the support of our wonderful and generous community.

We're honored to be chosen by Furness academy as one of their charities for their Christmas fair alongside Furness Homeless support. Their Christmas Craft Fair takes place on Thursday 30th November. Please pop along and have a look at the stalls, It's only a £1 and best of all that includes a mince pie.
The Gathered Voices Choir are holding a winter sing at Abbott hall tonight at 7.30pm. They invite you for a free evening of seasonal and regular a Capella music. They will also be holding a raffle with proceeds going to St Mary's Hospice.

If you are wondering what to do this Saturday, wonder no more! Millom is definitely the place to be. Our Millom Retail shop is putting on a coffee morning and pop up Christmas stall at the Guide Hall. Come along for all your festive decorations!
What a great idea and an amazing amount raised by Margaret Blackburn who owns Stock Gill Fine Foods. Margaret charged donations for carrier bags and raised £225 over the space of a couple of months, she did this in memory of her Father.
