We believe in enriching the lives of equines in our care, regardless of background, age or condition, so that they may lead a happier, and more fulfilled life, and, where ever possible, be better placed for rehoming. At the heart of our land development strategy, lies another mission - to enhance habitat for birds, flowering meadow and fen species, bees, moths, butterflies, bats, and reptiles. Working with Sussex Wildlife Trust, Sussex Flow Initiative and the Woodland Trust, our team is be planting trees and shrubs such as Hazel, Willow, Elder, Hawthorn, and Field Maple, complimenting the rare and protected species on and adjacent to our site, and the number of ancient trees on site with significant value for wildlife. Sussex Horse Rescue Trust also aims to work more closely with the local community by expanding our educational capacity around wildlife, as well as developing a more nourishing environment for the equines in our care. Beautiful Ted!
RIP Arturo and Paxo, what a terrible, terrible accident. You will be very sadly missed 😢 🌈 Glad the driver is ok, but it won't bring back two beautiful, intelligent horses who's lives have been cut so short. Please make sure to double check all your gates and fences with all the storms we have been subjected to recently - and please, please remember to slow down when driving!
A very Merry Christmas to all of our friends and supporters from all the staff and volunteers at Sussex Horse Rescue Trust. Thank you for all of your support over the past year - here's to a happy and Prosperous 2018! 🎉 🤶 🎄 🎇 🥂
