FISHFACE - NOTHING WASTED! So, we promised some supper clubs... well we are ready to tell you all about them. This time last year we held our First Birthday BBQ Beach Party with the fabulous Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra and 499 people eating mackerel and dancing on the beach... fun but not an annual event! Instead, we have decided to put on a series of smaller scale supper clubs to help celebrate our second birthday a bit differently, named #FISHFACE. #FISHFACE is a principle and a way of cooking we hope to expand on as we progress as a company inspired by nose to tail eating using as much of the fish as we possibly can to deliver a tasty taster menu to 25 lucky diners. The events will begin with a series of three events with each being based on a different species of fish. We'll be pulling in the help of guest chefs to give each event a different spin. First up, we'll be exploring our most popular by far the Monkfish and as we've almost become joined at the hip, our very own Benny Chester and Kyle Greenwood will be steering the menu. Expect around 8-10 courses with around half of them based on this delicious yet ugly fish. Tuesday 19th September (Tickets now live) Second in line we're bowled over to be welcoming the fabulous Dave Coulson of Peace and Loaf Jesmond who'll be exploring what many believe to be the King of Fish! Tuesday 26th September. Last but not least our good friend Shaun Hurrell of Barrio Comida (who now occupies what once was Riley's Fish Shack Quayside as a fabulous Taqueria) will be putting a Mexican spin on the famous North Sea COD. Shaun is a very accomplished chef who trained with some the best and we're very lucky to have him! Tuesday 3rd October.
