Course/Carp fishing lakes situated between the villages of Rainton & Dishforth Southfield Fisheries is owned and run by James & Maggie Archer. The fishery is both course and carp and comprises of two spring-fed lakes. Both lakes are otter fenced and landscaped with trees on the south and west sides. The fishery has a secure car park and a clean, flushing toilet and handbasin which is also disable friendly.

Lake A holds Carp to 10lbs as well as Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, Perch, Ide, Crucian Carp and Chub

Lake B Holds Carp up to 22lbs as well as Tench and Roach

PRICES Adults £8
           Concessionary & Juniors £6
           Juniors are under 14 and must be accompanied by an adult!

OPENING TIMES Winter - 8.00am tip dusk
                         Summer - 7.00am til dusk
                         Closed Christmas Day

RULES  No night fishing
           Barbless hooks only
           Anglers must be in posession of an assembled landing net and unhooking mat             at all times

           No rods to be left unattended
           All nets and mats must be dipped in the tanks provided to prevent spread of disease
           Fishing only from designated platforms
           Groundbait in feeders only
           No keep nets
           The gate to the fishery must be kept closed at all times to prevent Otters from entering
           An environment agency License required by all anglers

Hi may I just remind ALL anglers that they should be in possession of an Unhooking mat at ALL times. I'm sure you'll agree that fish care is paramount and a carp flapping on the gravel can damage fish and at worst lead to fish deaths. Also we love getting your catch pics but can I please ask that you don't stand up when holding a carp but take the picture of you holding it over a mat. A dropped Carp can be a dead carp Many thanks
