Zen Judo
Description
The Thatcham Zen Judo club is a small and friendly organisation with a family atmosphere both on and off the mat. If you are looking for a place for your kids to train or ideally to train with your kids please visit our judo club. In an effort to preserve the philosophical and spiritual aspects of the original style of judo pioneered by Dr Kano, Zen Judo was founded by Shihan Dominick McCarthy in England in 1974. Shihan McCarthy was trained in the Kyu Shin Do but when this judo style began to emphasize more Western aspects, Shihan McCarthy created a separate group to preserve the original judo spirit.
