Camp over for another year, a great week of activities and challenges for the boys in St. Ives, Cornwall - blo-karting, street sledging, sea kayaking, ice hockey, ten pin bowling, beach rugby and stock car racing, including the mad caravan demolition derby! Inter tent sports, jankers and winning the tent inspection shield, all contributed to a great week - big thank you to the staff that made it all possible

Following on from our Awards Evening, the Company Section Sports Team took part in the Battalion Sports on Saturday and the results on the day, added to success earlier in the year, earned us the overall Sports Trophy - a great achievement. Our summer programme started this week with Anchors competing in team games, Juniors starting to work on their Medieval Parade entry, and Company Section trying some new team building challenges - lots of great things happening over the next month!

Our annual Awards Evening is always a celebration of our members achievements and a chance to review another very busy year, it's also a chance to say a big thank you to all the staff who give up a combined total of over 3,000 hours of their time to give the boys all the opportunities they have. Thank you also to the parents that help when needed at Anchors and Juniors, and all those that support our important fundraising events. Well done to all badge recipients and those who were awarded cups and shields.
At the recent Mayor Making two of our young leaders were presented with the Tewkesbury Town Council Community Service Award. The award was given in recognition of their service to the town, including over 350 hours of volunteering and 14 years membership of Boys Brigade. Both have achieved their Queen's Badge and Gold DofE Awards, they are now training as DofE leaders and have enrolled as officers in the 1st Tewkesbury Company - big congratulations to Oliver Dare & Samuel Gilchrist
