facebook.comLooking forward to meeting five aspiring and talented musicians and singers tomorrow, each one a possible deserving bursary applicant. In each case their different classes are provided through JJ’s Arts Academy in Newton Abbot. Their tutors have recommended them as very apt for further assistance with their studies, whilst discussions with the parents/carers - along with requisite paperwork, naturally - are always inspiring & motivating to Trustees attending the interviews, and deciding who can receive THF financial help this year.
This is a FIRST when it comes to Helen Foundation trustees’ birth announcements! The first baby girl amongst -so far - 4 little boys born to our younger 3 Trustee menfolk! Congratulations to THF’s wonderful Ben Galloway and his equally lovely Vanessa: little miss no-name-yet has arrived, and all’s well!
What a heartwarming fb page placed by this lovely Teignbridge primary school! Way to go, South Dartmoor!
What an offer! Thoroughly tried and tested by many THF bursary awarded musicians and singers:
Thinking about Summer and GlasDenbury Festival? You’ll need to be quick to secure one of these beauts for your stay!
Helen’s special candles wish you all a very positive, loved and loving 2018. Your active support and awareness of the power of the Arts means the world to us all, heading into our 13th year right now...
🎄💔🎄Today we remember and honour Helen Elizabeth whose totally tragic death on the roads a dozen years ago meant such a loss to friends and family, that together we formed a plan to memorialise her energies and talents in an Arts Foundation for youngsters in Teignbridge. We honour and thank all of you THF Supporters for your love, support and your continued financing of the enterprise, since this bright, clear morning in 2005. www.thehelenfoundation.org.uk 🌈🌟🎄
Y’all! Per tutti! Time to win something lovely, locally! The Thuell family champion THF every, every year! They make us feel worthwhile, in the most generous of ways, and have done since the outset of the charity, and the pivotal reason for its existence: Helen Elizabeth Kirk (1981 - 2005).
Wish we’d known! But never too late - Helen’s death is still sharp in our own minds, and that of her Nanna Morris who died of cancer, and heartbroken, 5 months later. If you wish to donate to both Children’s Hospice SW, and to our very own THF - but you missed the “right” week, pop it into an envelope in The Blue Anchor this week! 💜💙💜 Thanks so much to those who’ve supported The Blue Anchor with their fundraising weeks. 🙏💙💜💙
Now THIS would be a sparkling Christmas gift for the right talented young musician! Wow!
It was a big thank you we owed to Mayor of Teignmouth Paul Burgess, who with Nicola Burgess the Mayoress organised a sumptuous evening for their two charities, Helen Foundation and Alice Cross - PLUS occasional funding for individual smaller causes with alternative needs to those of either Teignbridge youth arts bursaries etc or the projects of Alice Cross Centre.
