Man dies following Swansea assault South Wales Police can confirm that the victim in the Swansea assault, which took place at 8.40pm on Saturday 23 December, has sadly died. David Wynne, 39, from Gendros, Swansea, passed away today in hospital following the assault – and his family are currently being supported by specially-trained officers. A dedicated incident room has been set-up in Cockett Police Station, Swansea – and the Major Crime Investigation Team would like to hear from anyone who may have information regarding the following: • Prior to the incident – at 8:40pm – did anyone witness a man attempting to sell perfume in High Street area of Swansea • Around that time did you witness any suspicious activity in Ebenezer Street • Following the incident between, 9:00pm and 11:00pm, did you see or hear anything suspicious at Griffiths John Street Flats (known locally Dyffaty Flats). Kyle Dunbar, 29, from the Fforestfach area of Swansea appeared before Swansea Magistrates Court this morning (Tuesday, December 26th) charged with Attempted Murder. He has been remanded in custody. T/Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Wales from South Wales Police Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of David Wynne at this traumatic time.
