Paolo Iorio Osteopathy
Description
A well established practitioner offering osteopathic treatments from practices in Woodville, Castle Medical Group in Ashby and Barton under Needwood. A British registered Osteopath who graduated from the College of Osteopaths (BSc Hons), Keele.
With a well established practice based in Woodville, South Derbyshire I am now opening up a further practice in Barton Under Needwood, Staffordshire offering osteopathic treatment to Barton and the surrounding areas.
I treat a variety of conditions on patients of all ages from babies through to the more elderly using a variety of techniques including massage, tissue stretching and joint mobilisation. I also have a particular interest in sports injuries and enjoy working with those who are involved in any form of sport at any level from those who participate for fun, through to those at the professional and elite levels.
If you are suffering with back pain, muscle and joint pain, headaches, sports injuroes, posture problems, trapped nerves, sciatica, tennis or golf elbow, frozen shoulder, work related pain or pregnancy discomfort then please do not hesitate to contact me and we can talk through your symptoms in more detail.

facebook.comAshby20 done. Really pleased with my time of 3.14. Everybody said it was tough, they were not wrong! Brilliantly organised by Ivanhoe runners and superbly supported by so many along the way. Special thanks to all the volunteers who marshalled, manned the water station (including my wife and our 2 girls) and make events like this possible. Thanks also to Stuart Meer and Barbara Delaney for their company. I will wear my hoodie with pride😀
Best of luck to everyone taking part in Ashby20 tomorrow, particularly those who are patients and friends of mine. I am taking up the challenge myself and will be glad of the support from everyone along the route. I'm running in support of Young Minds a fantastic UK charity committed to the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Thanks to all of those who have donated. Carpe Diem, Paolo.

This weekend I took part in the fantastic Conti Thunder Run at Catton Park in South Derbyshire. In between my laps I offered osteopathic treatments to my fellow Conkers team mates to keep them all running smoothly! All I asked in return for a treatment was a donation towards my chosen charity. This year the money raised went to Young Minds, a charity dedicated to improving the emotional well being and mental health of children and young people. I'm especially proud to raise money for this charity which has supported the daughter of a very good friend and helped make a difference in the life of a beautiful, special and brave young lady. Thanks to everyone who donated on the day and other PI Osteopathy patients who also donated. A fantastic £235 was raised in total! #ALLIN24HRS http://www.youngminds.org http://www.contilightningrun.co.uk/ctr24.asp
Can You Eat to Run?, Food Programme - BBC Radio 4
To all my running patients and friends who have a spare 25 minutes, BBC Radio 4 Food Programme talks about different diets and their impact on running performance. An interesting listen. Happy New Year and happy running!
