We are an independent museum run by Orkney Natural History Society Museum, SCIO.
Stromness Museum is an independent museum maintained and managed by a committee of volunteers elected from the members of the Orkney Natural History Society Museum Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
Included in our collection are model boats, lighthouse lenses, artefacts from the German High Seas Fleet, a tin fiddle and so much more!

The Sea Hames street performance headed off from Stromness Museum today gathering a procession of folk. The event is part of the Per Mare Stromness 200 celebrations and takes its inspiration from South Ronaldsay's Festival of the Horse.
