Great few days at Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace. We had mixed blossom, heather, wildwood, lime tree and borage honey on sale. The British beekeepers Association tent had lots of visitors interested in bees and honey preparation. https://www.countryfilelive.com/blenheim-palace
Pears done, cherries done and last trip tonight to apple orchards. In a few weeks time, we'll do the same trips again to collect the hives once the bees have done their thing.
First pollination trip done today to pear orchards. Taking a trailer load of beehives down the M1, M25, Dartford crossing and Kent lanes is an adventure.....
Back from our holidays and this year's honey cycle about to start with pollination trips to Kent. A few bees are flying today and they will start foraging in earnest once the days warm up a bit.

First crop of heather honey coming back from the moors on Thursday. Rumour has it that there is a good crop this year.
Time to take the bees to Norfolk again for the wild wood honey crop.
This year's crop all in, bar the late wildwood honey. We had a request for frames to be used in a work of art - hope to post a picture when it is done but here's the starting point..

Bees coming back from the orchards now, job done. Lots of flowering plants in Warwickshire for them to feed on now.
First load of bees for pollination on the orchards went this weekend. I went along, for the fun of a 4am start and taking a trailer load of beehives over the Dartford crossing. All went according to the beekeeper's plan, thank goodness.
