🌟🌟🌟STOCKPORT AM DANCE-A-THON!!🌟🌟🌟 Guys can you believe it's only 5 WEEKS until our upcoming Dance-A-Thon fundraisers at the academy?! The Dance-A-Thon will take place on Saturday 14 April. AM Academy will do their sponsored Dance-A-Thon during academy hours. Remember guys, the point of doing the Dance-A-Thon is to: A) Raise a minimum of £25 to cover costume costs for your upcoming performance of Trouble's-A-Brewin' in the West End B) Increase your fitness levels ahead of our performance, to ensure you can handle your dress/tech rehearsal AND your show in the evening. As you might remember from last time, the day is long and can be fairly grueling, but don't worry - we'll have all students more than equipped to take it on! Please remember to bring your fundraising forms AND your fundraising cash with you to academy on the day of the Dance-A-Thon. Lastly, if you haven't already supplied us with your clothes size, please give us these details ASAP. We will begin looking at the purchase of costumes next term.

STOCKPORT PM ACADEMY - DRAMA & MUSICAL THEATRE SHOWCASE REMINDERS!! The performances will take place on Saturday 24 March. Just a few reminders for parents and students ahead of the Drama Showcase next weekend: 1. Tickets for friends and family - tickets are not required as entry is free of charge. 2. Tea, coffee, juice, and plenty of CAKES will be available to parents and guests coming to watch the performance. A coffee and a slice of cake will cost £1. 3. Friends and family are invited to arrive from 3.30 PM for pre-show refreshments and to enjoy our raffle facilities, before the Show begins at 3 PM sharp! 4. Students - make sure you continue to learn your lines and be completely off-book, and if you have any personal props or small costume items that you wish to add to your character, please make sure you bring them with you on the day of the performance! Kellie has sent an email out to parents outlining all of the costumes and props requirements for Musical Theatre performances.

If your Academy is closed this weekend due to the snowy weather why not complete your own Film & TV Snow Day Challenge? (Thank you PQA Worcester for the wonderful suggestion!) You could: 1. Film a 1 minute silent snow film 2. A short snow report from your area. Watch local TV on location reports for ideas. 3. Shoot a short stop frame film of the process of snow building up on an object or the process of making snow art These challenges can be completed inside but if venturing outside to film please make sure it is safe to do so and remember to wrap up warm! Parents - we would love to see the films! ❄️🎬
