Have 1 evening and 1 weekend slot free...can now offer a full mobile gym for all your needs!
A change is as good as rest!...never been into rest periods myself but had a good 2 to 3 weeks off the gym recently and was dreading coming back! But actually felt superb this week, really strong and focused and body and mind feels refreshed. Also helped having a new program to start - still pretty much the same lifts just different sets and rep ranges, but it makes all the difference. So if you have been hard at it for a long time and feeling a bit jaded try a complete 2 week break, no gym at all, chill and come back, maybe with a new program and see if you feel the same.
So it is time to undertake a new program, something I have devised myself but of course gained from the knowledge of countless giants of the game. I am clearing a good 3 month period where I can focus on getting my top level strength back so as we go into the new year I may think about competing again. Watch this space.
Limited evening and weekend slots available, message for details!
When it comes to acheiving goals your traning and diet, and results that follow, will not be continously linear. There will be peaks and troughs as your body gets used to it and adapts. This is where personal training comes into its own as I can guide you through these ups and downs and tell you exactly what to do and when. And no need to spend hundreds of pounds on celebrity courses, books and plans. These are just marketing gimmicks mostly and bear no reality to most peoples lives. Believe me you can keep it simple ( but kick ass enjoyable!) but still get great results. My training will fit in around and adapt to your personal life and get you into habits that will last you a lifetime. 190kg squat, going for 200 soon!
Just because you reach middle age some people would have you believe you should get your pipe and slippers out and start winding it down! Why not keeping working hard, playing hard feeling good and looking good...you will be in a much better positive position to look after yourself, family and friends in such a mindset...believe the former and your halfway to the grave! If you fancy some fitness guidance and encouragement then give me a shout and I will get you feeling fit and strong in no time! 👌👊💪
Free weights are for all!.....whether you are male or female, young or old if you want to get fit and toned and change your body composition then free weights is the way to go. There is no reason to be scared of the free weight area of the gym. There is a cliche that it will be filled with body obsessed blokes who will spend all their time staring at you rather than working out but this is a silly out of date cliche. I am sure there are 1 or 2 fools like this but 99% of the time it is simply not true! We need more people, especially women to realise the benefits of free weights and indeed power-lifting, which is one of the most rewarding disciplines I have ever undertaken. However, it is good to go in there with a knowledge of how to use the equipment and a good progressive routine to get you started. If this is something you fancy learning then give me a shout and I can run through a 4 session basic routine teaching you all you need to know about free weights and bust a few insulting myths in the process! You will be squatting, deadlifting, benching and pressing yourself to a fitter stronger you in no time!
