Exciting times - The Little Lane Preschool makeover is under way!

Our Bluebells spent this morning making and decorating some bunny ears ready for a Spring walk this afternoon. They had so much fun 🐰🌷🐇🌱

The Buttercups have had so much fun in the muddy puddles in the post snow thaw!

This was staff dedication this week - Zoe got dropped off by her dad in his tractor!! Hats off to the Little Lane team for ploughing through this week, it’s been a challenge - thank you to all our families for their help and understanding. Fingers crossed that everything is back to normal on Monday 🤞🏻 Have a great weekend! ❄️⛄️🌨🚜

Little Lane Nursery

I hope you are all keeping safe and warm. It's FRIDAY!! The last day of the week!! We will attempt to open again but the same goes as the last two days.... Due to the weather conditions over night, current road conditions this morning and some road closures we ask that, you only bring your child in to nursery if you have NO OTHER OPTION. If you are at home, please keep your little ones with you safe and warm. I appreciate that it is frustrating but we only have a few staff members that are able to make it into work, we are working with the children all together in one room and we are unable to take them out due to the icy conditions. Due to the forecast of more snow we will be closing by 3PM today. Please ensure children are collected before this time. Thankyou to those of you that have already offered to keep your little ones at home. The majority of School's have closed and the majority of nurseries are also closed. This email is sent in the hope that staff can journey to work safely today. Should we have any issues between now and opening i will be back in touch with an immediate closure. Should you arrive and we do not have enough staff to child ratio then you will be asked to stay with your child until we can cover this and in the event that we can't we would have to ask you to return home. Thankyou for your patience and understanding during this time. 😊⛄️❄️

**FRIDAY 2ND MARCH** We will update parents/carers by email and on Facebook tomorrow morning if there are any changes to our ability to operate tomorrow. The nursery will close early again at 3pm to ensure that our children, families and staff can get home safely. ❄️⛄️

Due to the weather conditions over night, current road conditions this morning and some road closures we ask that, should you not require childcare today that you keep your little ones at home. We have a number of staff members that are unable to make it into work today as a result of the snow and should we not have enough staff to cover our ratios we would have to send children home. Can we ask that you contact the nursery to confirm your child's attendance from 7:30AM onwards either by phone or email. We will do all we can to ensure things stay running as smoothly as possible for those attending and thank you for your understanding. The low temperatures are causing the roads and paths to be very ICY and i have a number of staff that have attempted to drive but have turned back home. At this time i will also advise that we will most likely be closing early again today to allow everyone to travel home safely.

Well done to the families and staff that were able to get in today despite the snow. As temperatures are set to plunge again and the pavements and roads incredibly icy, we will be shutting at 4:30pm to ensure people have enough time to get home safely. ❄️⛄️☺️
