Wednesday 25 January , we still have a few places left on our knife skills course. 6.30 -9.30 ( dinner and wine included) Knowing how to use knives skillfully is the foundation of all cooking, and doesn't have to be scary or frustrating. Many home and even professional cooks don't always wield a knife correctly, however, which increases food preparation time and makes the process harder---and less safe---than it should be. Simply put, good knives are the foundation of a well-equipped kitchen. This class remedies all these basic issues: You will learn how to slice, dice, chop, and much more in the safest and most efficient manner. This class will even guide you through the practice of keeping your knives sharp and handling them correctly.

I'm posting this on FB, because many customers have been asking how Tony is. Tony unfortunately passed away this morning, after a battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by all of us at Uptons and all the customers loved him. A really great guy who loved life and loved to laugh. Fast!! in all my working life, I've never seen any one work so fast. RIP my friend.
This 2017 team of butchers/ sausage makers/ pies makers were the best in 23 years, hard working and smooth. Thank you gang !!! Oh, and not forgetting the customers, thank you for using us, when there is so much competition. I/ we really appreciate you spending your money in Uptons.

Very rarely, do we have well aged ribs of beef left so selling this close to Christmas, but at the moment we still have some aged local angus and dexter ribs for sale.

I love these pork, apple and brandy pies, available, in 6oz, 1 lbs or 3lbs great Christmas food. We also make ones with cranberries, wild game,smoked chicken and quails eggs, and traditional. Winners of the south of England best pork pies 2016.
