Description
Working Cocker Spaniels based in North Devon. Stud dogs and Gundog training available. To contact us, please email using clumsetter@yahoo.co.uk. Our history - between September 2009 and April 2014, we were Kennel Club Assured Breeders - we only resigned our membership of the ABS when the scheme rules and accreditation changed. We mainly breed Working Cocker Spaniels but we do also have a very occasional Clumber Spaniel litter too. We offer health tested proven Working Cocker Stud dogs. We bred our first litter in 2003 - that was a Clumber litter, closely followed by an English Springer Spaniel litter. We have bred Working Cockers since 2007 and have gradually built up our kennel since. We started working our dogs in 1998 and have competed in working tests and trials with our Clumbers. Our dogs are regularly worked on prestigious commercial shoots and Nigel has gained a reputation as a bit of a dog whisperer! Nigel retired from game keeping in February 2013 and is now able to offer one to one dog training with fantastic facilities. Update, now reserved 😊 Clumsetter Gundogs have one of two Black, White and Tan Tri Coloured Working Cocker Spaniel bitch puppies available. Likely to turn out like her Mum, Dotty, Clumsetter Party Girl, once her coat has fully developed. NB: We are unable to state which of the two Black, White and Tan Tri’s is available yet. Their Dad is Brody, Clumsetter Play Boy, our Chocolate and Tan stud dog. Both parents are fully health tested including in date BVA eye examinations and the pups will be hereditary clear for AMS, FN and prcd Mutation for PRA. Pups will be ready 1st July 2019. Clumsetter Gundogs are pleased to announce that’s Brody, Clumsetter Play Boy is now proven. He has sired a super litter with Dotty, Clumsetter Party Girl. They are the proud parents of seven pups born Tuesday 7th May 2019. Six bitches and one dog! 😲😁. We have three Black and Tan bitches, three Tri bitches (all look to be mini Dotty’s so should be mini me’s - two are black, white and tan Tri and one is a chocolate, white and tan Tri). The dog is Black and Tan. Please note that these pups are not being offered for sale on this post 😊😍

Pupdate! Thank you for the kind comments and interest. The puppy is now reserved. 😁🐾🐾 We have a Chocolate and Tan Working Cocker Spaniel Dog puppy available to the best home only. Ready 4 November 2018. A working home is preferred as he is docked, however, the quality of the home is our top priority. Parents are fully health tested and both can be seen. The Dam is Clumsetter Geisha Girl (Fleurie) who is a Chocolate and Tan and the Sire is Badgerberry Meant To Be For Clumsetter (Ecco) who is a Chocolate, White and Tan Tri. Rosie, Clumsetter Misty Girl gave birth to eight gorgeous pups on Saturday 17 March 2018. Four dogs and four bitches. Sired by our Drake, Tewggy John at Bryntail. This is Drakes first litter with his second born just two days ago. We are fairly certain our current list will give us the homes we want for this litter so at this stage, we are not advertising any of this litter as available for sale.

Clumsetter Gundogs are delighted to announce that Thatcher, Clumsetter Simba, is now proven. He has sired a lovely litter of five. Born on 13 February 2018, there were four dogs and one bitch. Two are Chocolate and Tan, one is pale Gold/Lemon and there are two blacks. Go Thatcher!
Fantastic news! Drake (Tewggy John at Bryntail) is now offered to stud following receipt of normal/clear DNA test results for AMS, FN and prcd Mutation for PRA. Having also had unaffected results for both his Gonioscopy and his G/C PRA BVA eye examinations we can now state that he is fully health tested. Naturally we are delighted! Drake is not yet proven at stud so we are happy to discuss offering him to compatible bitches at a discounted stud fee until he is proven. Please get in touch if you are interested.

Meet the newest member of the Clumsetter family. Born on 3rd July 2017. Her Sire is Pippin (Budelegh Golden Snitch By Clumsetter) and her Dam is Amber (Wallace's Gold Girl at Clumsetter). This lovely little lady opened her eyes today. Please note that this pup is already reserved.
