It’s been 2 months since we opened but Knittiquip has really only been fully useable for about 3 or 4. The electrician and heating engineers were in the corner for some weeks! Thank you for your patience. It’s been a busy time and I’m very grateful to you all for bearing with me during this time. I am just feeling in control. I’ve ordered some lovely new yarns which I hope you will love or as much as I did when I saw them. Some beautiful colours in West Yorkshire Spinners yarn. The baby Bo Peep is so pretty. I’ve invested in some Sublime Cashmere and Merino. You need to touch it to understand what it I mean. Also Isla. A bamboo cotton mix which feels amazing. Looking forward to seeing Helens jumper in that. James Brett have bought out a ‘cake’ called Fairy Cake which one ball makes a blanket Anne is making one up for us to see. Soft and fluffy should be fabulous for a baby. Pop in and have a look at the fantastic new yarns along with new colours of all the great yarns I have in stock. Look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you for your patience. Almost done. Just the cross stitch, embroidery and tapestry to sort. ! Tracy

Wow what a Christmas. I hope you all had a fantastic time with those you love. I had a wonderful time with my family. We have had loads of fun. I have decided to take the next few days off. Traditionally I have not opened between Christmas and New Year but I thought this year I ought to be open. However I am struggling with a nasty cough (like my hubby had some weeks ago) and think I need to stay away from humans so that I don’t infect anyone. I will be pottering up to the shop as I am hoping to sort it all out now that the workmen have gone and I can put all the mess away! Thank you all for your patience and for your amazing support over the last few months. I couldn’t have done it without you. Here’s to a new year and a fantastic shop and facilities. Love to you all. Tracy.

What an amazing weekend. I can’t begin to explain how emotional and wonderful it all was. We have started an amazing journey. James and I were surrounded by most of the people who have helped us to get to this point. It was really important to us to try and say thank you in a small way to them. The tea room looks amazing. Knittiquip is just fantastic. Still got some work to do but it feels wonderful to work there. Our animals have arrived and we are quarantining them for a few days until the pens are perfect. Next weekend we hope to open that for our first customers. I can’t wait to see you all. Thank you to you all for your support and patience. The waiting is over. Pop and see us. Xx

So who do you call when you have 24 hours to go to opening and still a poorly hubby. The A-Z team!! Everyone was called in today! It was bedlam. I escaped and bought fish and chips which caused chaos in the chippy. 9 in the queue when I left. Sorry Measham! So we are opening. We do not have everything perfect as we wanted and the list of essential things not working is endless. However after many ‘discussions ‘ we are going to open in a limited fashion. If you can wait until next week perfection will be closer. Not sure if I will last that long!! James and I are however, looking forward to welcoming you all to our cabin. Imperfect or not the welcome is warm and so is the coffee.

Todays exciting development. Bert the yurt has gone up!! We are so excited. It is just so beautiful. James and I have had a tough few weeks and struggled to keep smiling at times. The last couple of days have been amazing. My ladies helping yesterday. Today Mark and Jane Hulse popping in and bringing outside lights so James and Ben could carry on. Tom and Tammy popping in and staying for 2 hours to give us both a really boost. Charlotte for coming from work and helping out. Ben for giving up his weekend. Emma for popping up for the weekend as a surprise to give us a hug. Just what we needed from both of our children. Feel exhausted but incredibly grateful. Thank you all so very much. Xxx
