Everyone starts somewhere... This was my first ever group session - August 2013! I had never been a participant of a group class before or even observed a class and to this day still haven't! None of this equipment was even mine! Yes, I look back at this video and cringe at the 👸🏻routine I was making the girls do but I'm honoured that five of the girls are still Dumbbell Warriors today! Greedy Fender 🐷 Ear Basher 🗣 Chilli 🌶 Girl Arms 💪🏻 Big Worm 🐛 & Milky 🍼 Thank you girls for kicking me up the arse and persuading me to deliver these classes 💪🏻👏🏻 So if you're starting your fitness journey this month, don't expect to be the best in room/gym/studio - just concentrate on your journey and progressing each day! Warrior Toto has been my friend for a very long time but for years I had failed to persuade Toto to join my Dumbbell Warrior classes! Last New Year's Eve, we were sat having a meal with our friends when the classes came up in discussion! You could see Toto was adamant that they were not for her! However, by the powers of persuasion...Toto was signed up by the end of the night! Toto has not looked back since!! She works ridiculously long hours but by slight tweaks to her lifestyle she never fails to attend class! You can't out train a bad diet .You may argue that you try to make it to the gym and that’s enough, it’s not. What you put in your mouth is more important, than time spent in the gym. Now don’t get too carried away and cancel your gym membership, fitness still plays an important roll. Incorporate both to reach you goals quicker. DB Warrior Nick name : GB 💪🏻What have you gained from being a Dumbbell Warrior: I have significantly improved my core strength. When I first started M2C I couldn't even complete one burpee or get myself off the floor! My overall fitness has improved drastically. 🎓 What advice would you give to new Warriors: if you are thinking about joining but are feeling apprehensive or slightly nervous about starting then don't be! Everyone at team M2C are so welcoming and will support you and help you to achieve your goals. 📅 Start date: 6th may 2016 💪🏻 Fav Exercise: Prowler 💀 Killer Exercise: chest to floor burpees- EURGH!! 💪🏻 Weapon of Choice: 5kg Hex 📈 Progress to date: 4 stone 2lb weight loss 🏆 Current Goals: To continue to lose weight but gain muscle tone and to become leaner and fitter. 👙 Biggest Motivation: my grandad passed away last September after a very short illness but during one of our conversations he said to me you can have everything in this world but you haven't got anything if you haven't got your health. I realised I needed to make changes to my lifestyle. I was over weight and stuck in a viscous circle of yoyo dieting and going to the gym but never actually pushing myself whilst I was there. A Warrior who joined us 16 weeks ago - here's her M2C experience so far... 'After having my 3rd baby I was resigned to the fact that my 'Mum bod' was here to stay and I could never get back to how I used to be but I joined M2C mainly to get fit and have a bit of me time. Like most women I wanted to see results instantly, after my first term of 8 weeks (1 hour a week) I was seriously considering quitting as I couldn't see it for myself and I felt like it was so difficult that I just couldn't do it!
