We are looking for a 2nd cheerful, hardworking and keen to learn apprentice/working pupil to join our lovely team at our busy riding school, competition and livery yard. This position is suitable for a Level 2 or Level 3 apprentice. We are able to offer someone a fantastic opportunity to learn and gain experience in varied areas of the horse industry. If you are less experienced there is the opportunity to learn with safe horses in a riding school environment. You will learn how a commercial yard works. If you have more experience you could to learn to coach, be involved in backing horses and training competition horses as we currently have ponies and young horses eventing up to CCI*** level at home and abroad. We have lovely liveries involved in Pony Club, riding club and eventing and we take many of our riding school clients to shows too. Training will be designed to build on your experience and will include riding and stable management. If appropriate, you may help exercise horses as well as prepare them for competitions and groom at events. There may be the opportunity to work towards coaching or instructing qualifications. Training from experienced staff qualified up to BHSI & Level 3 Coaching will be provided. You will need to demonstrate good communication skills in dealing with clients in a positive manner and have a happy outlook on life to fit in with our lovely team. Get an Award for helping at Regal Equestrian! The Young Equestrian Leaders Awards (YELA) have been developed to recognise the contribution young equestrian volunteers make to equestrianism, and help shape their experience so they become equestrian leaders of the future. YELA runs over three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Bronze requires 20 hours of volunteering and introduces skills in responsibility, organisation and communication—and Silver develops these further. The Gold Award requires 120 hours of volunteering, encouraging leadership and the planning and delivery of a specific project. Anyone between the ages of 13 and 25 can start working towards the awards. Registration for the Bronze award is just £14 and requires 20 hours of volunteering over a minimum of 8 weeks. For those Young Equestrians who already help out on the yard, this is a way of logging those hours and earning an award which will look great on your University or Job application! This was the first time cross country schooling for most of the riders in the video below. I think you'll agree that everyone who took part did amazingly! This is what we are love about Regal Equestrian; we are passionate about making it possible for everyone to have a go at different equestrian disciplines, even those that don't own their own horse. We couldn't do it without our fantastically versatile team of horses and ponies. Every single one is a superstar 😍.
