#Turkey - Changes to Clearance Procedures As per new customs regulations, it is mandatory to declare the information below for all formal entries (dutiable shipments above 75.00 EUR) from 1 June 2016: 4 Digit HS Code (harmonized system code) If the consignee is a registered company, their tax number If the consignee is a private individual, their Turkish ID number On manual waybills, the tax number can be written in Receivers VAT Number/Identification Number For Customs Purposes and the HS code can be written in Description of Goods on the waybill or the Tariff Code part on the invoice.
Valid passports can be shipped as documents. The description must clearly state 'passport'. Shipping passports require the approval of the UK customs authorities. A delay of minimum one day has to be calculated.
