facebook.comQuartz floor shower room, with curved gloss white furniture. A full refurbishment from a salmon tiled bathroom, to a modern low maintenance shower room. The gloss white ceiling panels with chrome inserts and polished chrome LED downlights accented the glossy curved furniture and bold chrome towel rail. Ample storage was allowed in the 2 draw basin and matching tall boy unit, both wall mounted to allow full view of the sparkling quartz floor. The walls, fully tiled and grouted in an antifungal grey grout, left this project a modern and minimal maintenance shower room. An LED mirror and twin control thermostatic shower completed this refurbishment.
A small selection of before and after images, from our tiling-only service. Walls are prepped and primed, and all projects completed using the highest grade adhesive and antifungal grout.
In addition to full luxury bathroom renovations, we also offer a tiling only service. Here are just a few photos, from the many projects we have been asked to assist with. Whether it be ceramic or natural stone, porcelain or glass mosaic, we guarantee an exceptional finish.
Travertine ceramic shower bathroom. This full bathroom project included: Decommissioning of existing suite, tiles, blown plaster walls and carpeted flooring. Boarding/plastering of walls, and replacement of floorboards previously unsupported and in poor condition. The dated artex ceiling was skimmed flat, and original single light fitting replaced with 4 bathroom rated brushed chrome LED downlights. The walls were tiled in a travertine effect ceramic, with a focal column of natural stone, porcelain and glass mosaic. This was finished with an antifungal external grade jasmine grout, and polished chrome box trim. The floor, fitted with an anti crack moisture resistant board, was tiled with a matching travertine effect porcelain and jasmine grout. The wallpapered boxings were minimised in size, and finished with a clean, maintenance free pvc. Light pullcords were replaced, and an unobtrusive silent fan with white flush face fitted. Twin concertina shower screens were fitted in a polished chrome finish, complimented by a Mira drench head thermostatic shower with additional flexible head. The rusted radiator was replaced with a chrome bar style towel warmer, with matching chrome valves. Twin high gloss vanity units were fitted. One housing the concealed cistern for the flush to wall toilet and soft close slimline seat, the other providing under sink storage with soft close high gloss doors. The project was completed with a dark walnut worktop, supporting the semi recessed basin and waterfall tap. Cloakroom refurbishment The existing toilet, basin and laminate floor were removed. Painted walls were stripped, ceiling levelled, and a boxing constructed to house the concealed cistern. The cloakroom was fully tiled, with a matt finish ivory tile, accented with a border of polished glass mosaic and antifungal white grout. Existing boxings were strengthend and tiled also, and the floorboards fitted with a cement fibreboard. The floor was completed with a contrasting dark grey ceramic, and colour resistant silver grey grout. A small yet effective chrome towel warmer was fitted, with a low maintenance pvc worktop topper to the flush toilet pan. The cloakroom vanity unit and basin to match the existing storage cupboard, and the ceiling clad in a pvc decorative panelling completed this project.
Porcelain mosaic shower room. All pipework was concealed, for a wall hung basin to be fitted and close coupled toilet. The floor was cut out and structurally framed, for the installation of a wet deck pre formed shower tray. Walls and floor were fully tiled, in a large format grey porcelain tile. Two vertical bands of porcelain and polished metal mosaics were installed in the shower tray and behind the basin, edged with polished chrome listellos. In the shower area, an alcove was cut into the wall. This was tiled with a mosaic backing, edged with a polished chrome box trim. The pre formed tray was also tiled in matching porcelain and polished chrome mosaics, to complete the level floor shower tray. The remaining floor was fitted with a moisture resistant fibre board, guaranteed to prevent the cracking of grout and tiles. The tiling was finished with a high quality silver grey grout. We only use the highest grade grout, highly resistant to mould growth and discolouration, and highly water repellant properties.
Wet room adaptation A full conversion from a partially tiled bathroom, to fully water resistant wet wall and level access shower tray. After full demolition, the tray was inserted into a concrete base. The waste water was removed, by an aesthetic high level pump. A new electric shower, supportive riser rail, toilet and basin were installed. Existing radiator was refitted, with existing exposed copper pipework boxed in. Walls were fully boarded using a high standard moisture resistant panel, complete with full white metal inserts and corners. An additional grab rail, and accessories were fitted to the clients needs, with a sanitary grade anti fungal silicone to complete this project.
Shower bathroom full refurb. The bathroom had been fitted by another firm. PBC was requested to strip the entire room back to studwork, and reinstate the full bathroom. The bathroom walls were stripped and patresses fitted before being fully boarded. The floor was fitted with plywood to improve the quality of the current substrate. Walls primed and floor fitted with a high quality underlay. Showerbath; fitted with a glass and chrome screen, an electric riser rail shower and wall mounted concealed tap. Suite; ceramic single tap hole pedestal basin and close coupled toilet. Tall chrome towel rail. Tiles; walls finished with a grey ceramic, with an antifungal white grout and sanitary grade white silicone. A bespoke mirror was embedded within the tiles, framed with a white trim. Floor; the floor was fitted with a grey oak laminate style vinyl flooring. Durable and very aesthetic, this moisture resistant flooring is compatible with underfloor heating and can provide an alternative to tiles.
One of my more bespoke bathrooms. Possibly the most confined also. Bathroom and separate toilet tiled in amatching grey marbled tile, with plank style wood effect flooring. Titanium grout throughout, with a cement grey antifungal silicone. All pipework was requested to be on show in chrome, and barely a screw was standard. Ceramic bowl basin sat upon a varnished unit, with chrome bottle trap and waste pipe. Free standing bath with cast iron decorative feet, visible pipework of chrome feeds and waste. High level victorian style cistern with chrome downpipe and decorative chain pullcord. Chrome towel rail, and full circle shower curtain with ceiling fixed shower head. Ceiling finished with a gloss white decorative ceiling panel, chrome pullcords and glass/chrome shelves and accessories.
A poorly built porch had resulted in a huge fall towards the threshold of the porch door. The customer had chosen a plank style wood effect tile, typically laid staggered. This made it very difficult to allow for the slope, resulting in the tiles only able to be fixed with the length of the L-shaped kitchen. The floor was built up as far as able, without trapping the porch pvc door or the adjacent cupboard door. The result was better than anticipated, with a lot levelling, door testing and persistence.
Kitchen and utility rooms floors tiles in a long plank style wood effect porcelain tiles, completed with brown flexible grout. The chipboard floors were first fully boarded with plywood, screwed at 4" centres. The floor was also primed, to ensure these tiles never move even under the anticipated heavy for traffic.
