John Clarke has shared this strange sight from the streets of Greenhill where snowmen came to life this weekend.
THERE WILL BE NO WOODSEATS FESTIVAL OR PARADE THIS YEAR, UNLESS.... Last year's Woodseats Festival was planned, co-ordinated and run by a team of just seven volunteers. This year, only four people have offered to help organise the suburb's biggest annual family event - so it is on the verge of being cancelled. The 2018 Festival Weekend was to have been Saturday, July 7th, and Sunday, Juy 8th. It will only be saved if enough people or local organisations come forward immediately with offers of help. DOG PICTURE PLEA I'm hopeful Active8 can help me contact the owners of the dog in this photograph. It was taken by me on Sunday morning, 04-03-18. I was taking shots of the bench and trees when the dog walked out of the fog into frame. Not to miss an opportunity I pressed the shutter button. The dog barked a couple of times and walked back into the fog with it's owner. I didn't know what result I had at the time. If they are interested I would like to send them a copy as I think it's turned out really well. Dave Beeley
AND THE WEEKEND HASN'T EVEN STARTED! It's a tough life here at Active8, as Helen and Mike Firth demonstrate. They were invited along to Ecclesall Road in Sheffield to learn all about an exciting new business, wine cafe Veeno. And, of course, they were encouraged to sample Veeno's family-produced Sicilian wines... and spuntini too!
SNOWY NORTON Norton was filled with angry motorists held up in the snow this morning... but there was a pretty side to it too!
