Wow, what an amazing time we had at Edenbridge and Oxted Show last weekend! We took 3 of last years calves Casper, Coco and Claude. They were all perfectly behaved and we ended up getting a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their commercial beef classes with some lovely encouraging comments from the judge. Bex then picked up 3rd in young handlers as well. We have thoroughly enjoyed showing this year and promoting the farm!

Last weekend, we took 3 of our calves to Kent show. We had a great weekend and the calves did very well considering it was there first time off the farm and they are only 10 months old. Matt even won best turned out stock person! We will be at Edenbridge and Oxted so if you are there do come and say hello!

Thank you to all who came along to our Open Farm Sunday, both visitors and helpers. A big thank you also goes out to the stall holders for coming along to sell your excellent products and local machinery dealers who helped us with merchandise and machines and not forgetting our lovely friends who bought their vintage tractors along. We welcomed just over 1400 visitors on the day and raised £1031.69 for Parkinson’s UK. The lucky winners of The Mote Farm beef box were Robin and Barbara and the very excited winners of the New Holland pedal tractor were Edward and Lucy, well done and thanks for entering! Thank you all for coming and we hope to see you on 7th June 2020.

What wonderful weather we had for the Open Farm Sunday event, we had over 1300 visitors to the farm! Everyone looked very happy and relaxed wandering around chatting to the team and local producers, meeting our animals, taking part in the activities and games. Our thanks to all that came and supported the event. Our team said you asked lots of great questions and hopefully went away with fresh knowledge of British farming and the role farmers play in the countryside. We would love to post some of your favourite photos so please message them to us. Our thanks also go to the spitfire for an excellent fly by. We would be very grateful if you could complete the online Visitor Survey, this enables us to plan our event next year. It’s on 7th June 2020 so see you then. We raised the fantastic sum of £1031.69 for Parkinson’s UK, thank you everyone for coming!
