**OFFICIAL OPEN WATER SWIMMING STATEMENT** In light of the response to the decision to remove the previous swim team from our business we are making this final statement on the matter. Please note we will not be making any further comment on the issue after this. We would like to make it clear that Hannah our qualified swim coach had already resigned and left therefore was not part of the team subsequently asked to leave. It is not appropriate or fair on the previous team to go into detail as to the various reasons they were asked to leave nor do we have their consent to provide the same. There is no denying they were great with customers and organised events successfully but once certain matters were drawn to our attention we took the decision to ask them to leave. Horseshoe Lake has clear standards and policies designed to protect staff and customers alike on many fronts. We operate a zero tolerance policy in various circumstances. We do not work or expect the public to work, with people that have not conformed to the same ethos and standards we set. Moving forward we will ensure the transitional period is as smooth as possible for all our customers. All block swims outstanding will be carried on into next season as normal and any warranty issues about products purchased we will honour. There will be an interim team running the swim sessions for the rest of October and we will be looking to employ a new swim team ready for next season. Safety is always our main priority, and we will still have a safety team in place operating to the same systems we set out for the swim team previously. We apologise for the suddenness of the decision and the disappointment it has caused a lot of you. Hopefully this statement will go some way to explain the situation and draw a line under everything. *Calling all adults* We have just put 2 more dates on the calendar for our RYA level 1 and level 2 sailing courses! If you are interested in learning to sail then the level 1 is the perfect course for you. You will learn basic boat controls and background knowledge. This is the best course to get you well on your way to becoming the amazing sailor we know you can be! If you have already completed your RYA level 1 course, then the level 2 is the next step up. It teaches you specific manoeuvres and a better understanding of the boat so you can achieve sailing greatness! This is normally the qualification you will require to head out and hire a sailing boat from a centre!
