Update We have been inundated with messages and interest and are not taking anymore enquiries, we will post an update later in week Thanks We have no further details regarding this boy, if interested please contact the family directly. This is Buddy and it is with a very heavy heart that we are looking to find a new home for him. Buddy is a male (castrated) apricot Cockapoo, who was born Oct 23rd, 2016. We got him from Davidson for my daughter for Christmas. We had a house fire in May of this year and have had 4 house moves since then so it's been a very disruptive time for us with a young family (9, 7 and twin 3 year olds) and Buddy. We are unlikely to be home for at least another 6 months. The day to day managing of 4 small kids combined with an all consuming project reinstating our home means we are just not able to dote on Buddy the way we would like, and he deserves. Buddy is a very clever, energetic, playful dog and is easily trained. He is also very handsome and the photos don’t do him justice- he rarely stays still for one! He enjoys life by the coast in Portstewart and equally loves TLC at home. He was in the house at the time of the fire and that experience, combined with a lot of instability for us all, has left him a little more nervous. The lack of home comforts has left it mark on us and on Buddy. No more than the rest of us, he really needs some stability and down time. We really feel at this time he would be better suited to a quieter home with an experienced dog owner with older kids where things are more relaxed and chilled for him. It’s been far to hectic for him the last while and in many respects we should have done this sooner, but naturally it’s been a very hard decision. We will not consider a home on the North Coast. It would be heartbreaking for us if we saw Buddy out and about, and I am sure he would find this upsetting too. He needs a completely new start in life. Please email us at aoifeandpeter@yahoo.ie with some details about you and the life Buddy can expect to enjoy, along with your phone number and we will phone you. We expect to receive a lot of enquiries and don’t want to upset the children with a lot of calls. It also means we can respond to you when we have time to chat.

Disappointed to see we have received our first 1* review but make no apology for the reason behind it. We comply with our strict licensing conditions that no puppies leave us before they are 8 weeks old. At this time they are microchipped, vet checked and given their first inoculation. However we also have a policy that if we feel the puppies would benefit from an extra week or so with us then that is what happens. When we receive constant messages requesting that a puppy be collected when it only 6 weeks old it demonstrates that the potential new owner isn't acting in the best interests of the puppy and we returned their deposit to them. The welfare of our puppies will at all times be our priority.
