School will open tomorrow, as per text. Please be careful as there is still some snow lying on the grounds. I expect the forecast rain to dissipate it overnight. The right turn to the school still has an accumulation so please be mindful of this in the morning. Please remember that it is still cold and children should dress accordingly. See you then!

Hopefully everyone has received their message regarding the closure tomorrow. Given the situation on the grounds this afternoon, we feel that tomorrow will be worse considering the amount of snow that has fallen this evening and will fall overnight. We hope that getting the message this evening helps in some small way with arrangements for tomorrow. This isn't something that is decided lightly and is driven by the concerns for the children and families on the grounds. As well as that, there would be genuine concerns for travel on the roads for families and staff. If you are travelling tomorrow - please be careful and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday 😊

We appreciate that people are waiting for news regarding the opening or otherwise of school tomorrow. We'll try to get something listed this evening to help you make arrangements for tomorrow instead of last minute issues. We know that families would appreciate this more. You'll appreciate that we are not near school at the moment so enquiries are being made as to the state of the grounds, as well as the road outside the gates (including the turning lane). If you have any insights could you please DM and it will be appreciated.

This was the scene at school as it was being locked up. You'll notice that the snow was lying again less than an hour after the grounds were cleared and heavily salted. We will do our best to keep you informed of developments.

School is planning to open. It is slippy underfoot, though it has been gritted, so please be careful. We will keep everything under review as the forecast is for deteriorating conditions.
