Jack Up The 80s are so sad to hear of the passing of the incredible Eddy Amoo, one third of The Real Thing. Eddy was a true showman, songwriter & a legend in British music. The Real Thing dominated the international charts throughout the 1970s & 1980s with their iconic soul smashes including the much loved You To Me Are Everything, Feel the Force & Can’t Get By Without You. Eddy will be remembered as a real tour de force & he will be sorely missed. Eddy passed away suddenly in Australia yesterday aged 74. Here he is with his brother & band mate Chris Amoo & great friend Dave Smith giving it his all on stage at Jack Up The 80s last August, his final appearance on the Island. What an phenomenal set it was!
