The King Lud, with its heavily beamed facade, is hard to miss at the foot of Ryde Pier, the gateway to the Isle of Wight. We are a traditional, family-run, pub with many hidden talents!
We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our customers and welcoming anybody, locals and visitors alike, as long as you are nice, all of the time.
By day, The King Lud has a warm, clean and homely atmosphere, providing very good homemade food with seasonal house specials.
By Night, The King Lud is the most diverse, consistent, and lively micro venue on the Isle of Wight.
Our proud, hardworking, charming and loyal team will always try their best to look after you and yours.

Today is one of our absolutely favourite Lud days... A whole pile of gorgeous, dapper, sharp set mods will stroll along from the pavilion, after their photo shoot... ..to the iconic mod venue OUR HOUSE, THE KING LUD, the historic epicentre of the massive ISLE of WIGHT International SCOOTER rally, for more than 30 years, Freshly painted, clean fresh carpets, plenty of 🍺 To listen to big tunes from DJ Jon shove, DJ Dave Ryan and guitar bashers from @liam hodges All in aid of the teenage cancer trust A national event that we are super privileged to be part of thanks to steve Robson <3
